Judit Bokser Liwerant, President of the Association of Social Scientific Study of Jewry since 2020, is a Senior Full Time Professor of Political Science at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico and Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She is a member of the Mexican Academy of Science and the National Research System.
Director and Chief Editor of the Mexican Journal of Political and Social Sciences.
Co-editor of the Book Series Jewish Identities in a Changing World, Brill Editorial House.

She is the Marshal Sklare Awardee (2017), the National University Research Award (2015), the Life Achievement Award, and the Journal of the Study in Antisemitism (2014), among others.

Has authored and edited 16 books, 80 book chapters, and 75 scientific articles in the fields of Political Sociology, Political Science, and Contemporary Jewry.

Her works span the intersection of different disciplinary fields, ranging from political theory to Contemporary Jewry. Her research focuses on political sociology, Jewish responses to Modernity: migration and Jewish national movement, ethnic and national identities, globalization processes and transnationalism, antisemitism, Jewish identities, and communal life in Latin America.
