2024 Distinguished Early Career Award Winners

Nadia Beider and Aviad Moreno

The ASSJ is very pleased to announce that Nadia Beider and Aviad Moreno are the winners of the 2024 Distinguished Early Career Award. Nadia Beider (Hebrew University) was selected for her work in Jewish education, and Aviad Moreno (Ben-Gurion University) was selected for his work in Diaspora Studies. ASSJ also issued two honorable mentions for the 2024 award, to Lea Taragin-Zeller (Hebrew University) for her work in Anthropology and Pavel Brunssen (Heidelberg University) for his work in Cultural and Social Studies. The Distinguished Early Career Award is presented to an early career scholar in the social scientific study of contemporary Jewry whose work reflects excellence in the application of social science theories and methods in the field.
